Grand Parc de l’Ouest

Let’s dream about our Grand parc de l’Ouest

With over 3,000 hectares (30 km²) of land, the park could potentially become Canada’s largest municipal park. It is an ambitious collective project that confirms the importance of protecting natural environments and preserving biodiversity. In the context of our ecological transition, the perennity of our ecosystems contributes to increasing Montréal’s climate resilience.

The park offers new points of contact with nature and includes all five nature parks of Montréal’s West Island: Anse-à-l'Orme, Bois-de-l'Île-Bizard, Parc agricole du Bois-de-la-Roche, Cap-Saint-Jacques and Rapides-du-Cheval-Blanc, in addition to various areas of interest located in boroughs or related municipalities.

Public consultation

On March 17, come discover the project by visiting various information stands and by exchanging with the project managers at the launching of the public consultation process.

You could take part in this process in various ways. Starting this spring, you can express your opinion online or in person during collaborative workshops. For updates about the next stages in the consultation, or to stay informed, fill in your email address in the "Stay informed" section of this page.
