Montréal Lends a Listening Ear to its Youth

The municipal administration is deploying the tools at its disposal and taking concrete steps to make the Montréal an inclusive city that cares about its youth. In partnership with institutional, community and municipal stakeholders, the municipal administration is intent on offering youth aged 18 to 30 a better quality of life.

The municipal interventions for youth are the subject of a document titled Interventions municipales pour les jeunes de 18 à 30 ans 2019-2020. This document is based on the Plan d’action en développement social 2019-2020 – Rassembler Montréal, unveiled in September 2019, which aims to promote the achievement of individual potential and collective enrichment.

This document is the result of consultation process between city’s central departments, boroughs and advisory boards. The youth were consulted through the 2017 #jeunesse375MTL project and Youth Summit. It was also possible for the public to participate in an online survey.

The Ville de Montréal thanks all the citizens who took the time to participate in the survey as well as the community organisations that mobilized the youth aroud this consultation.
