Sainte-Catherine Ouest Street continues its transformation

The project on the emblematic Rue Sainte-Catherine Ouest between De Bleury Street and Atwater Avenue aims at offering Montrealers and visitors a rekindled main street that will transform the downtown experience by giving pedestrians a central place in the public space.

Development between Saint-Marc Street and Atwater Avenue

The city is reflecting on the redevelopment of the last stretch of the Sainte-Catherine Ouest project, between Saint-Marc Street and Atwater Avenue. In order for this development to be harmonious with the previous portions of the project and to respond to the special features and needs of the area, the city launched a consultation process in the fall of 2022. The consultation period now ended. Thanks again to everyone who participated !

  • Saturday, November 16 – 9:30 a.m. to noon: Meeting point in front of Place Montréal Trust on Rue Sainte-Catherine Ouest (between the Indigo and Zara stores).

These activities will take place in two stages:

  • 45-minute exploratory walk, from Rue Mansfield to Rue Bishop

The two workshops will be conducted in the same manner and cover the same content. You can participate in either of them, based on your availability.

The workshops are open to everyone!

In the event of bad weather, the exploratory walk may be cancelled, in which case the workshop will begin at St Jax Church. If such is the case, you will be advised by e-mail 24 hours in advance.

If you are unable to take part in the exploratory walk, you can join us directly for the second stage, that is for the workshop portion of the activity.
