What is participatory budgeting?
For its first participatory budget, Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce wishes to highlight its residents’ knowledge of their neighbourhoods in an effort to improve the quality of life of families, in every form.
The 2023 participatory budget provides an opportunity to address the various needs of families in our neighbourhoods and foster ties with our neighbours so as to generate ideas that hold promise. In the months ahead and through our collective effort, these ideas will be transformed into projects. You will then vote to determine which projects will be implemented. This is a unique opportunity to experience a new form of democracy: participatory democracy.
The different steps of the process invite you to contribute both online (on this page) and in person, through open and creative workshops.
Our objective is to offer collaborative spaces in which needs, ideas and projects can emerge, then develop them together in preparation for the final vote.
