Building a Vibrant Chinatown Together

Why this approach?

The Borough of Ville-Marie invites you to take part in a consultation in order to promote the community and commercial life of Chinatown and highlight its unique nature in the heart of downtown.

Your input can help us:

  • Produce a situational diagnostic of the issues and needs of the community;

  • Develop a common vision for Chinatown.

An advisory committee made up of local actors is in place to enrich the consultation process and ensure consultation activities reach as many people as possible. The committee held its first meeting on June 20th.

How to participate?

  1. Fill out the quick survey
  2. Share your stories and experience of Chinatown
  3. Sign in to stay informed
  4. Join us at our on-site consultation booth August 9th, 10th, 13th, and 16th, at the intersection of de la Gauchetière Street and Clark Street (dates subject to change according to weather conditions).

A Cantonese and Mandarin speaking facilitator will be on site.

The schedule for other upcoming activities will be confirmed later this summer and additional consultation activities may be added.
