Montréal wins the $50 million grand prize in the Smart Cities Challenge

We were so proud to learn of Montréal's victory in Infrastructure Canada's Smart Cities Challenge. Montréal will be able to use the $50 million prize to implement the innovative projects it proposed in collaboration with its partners. The high quality of the projects submitted by Québec City, Edmonton, Surrey/Vancouver and the Waterloo area challenged us to surpass ourselves and create sustainable ties for the future!

Montréal's proposal involved mobility issues and food access in its neighbourhoods. To our minds, both issues are complementary facets to improve residents' quality of life.

Today's victory doesn't belong only to the city, but to the entire Montréal community. We met this challenge together!

We'd like to extend our warmest thanks to our partners who helped us to submit the proposal and bring our Challenge to life!
