New step regarding the co-creation workshop on 20th of July

Among the citizen participation processes concerning the development and programming of the future park, a co-creation workshop, by invitation took place on the 20th of July (in virtual format).

Bringing together some 40 people from various backgrounds, the objective of this meeting was to gather the opinions of future park users in order to improve and refine the layout sketch proposed by the City and thus develop a project that meets the expectations of the entire community.

The invitation-only formula was chosen to ensure greater representation among the various interest groups, including sports associations and clubs, local groups from Lachine and Lake Saint-Louis, and social, cultural and environmental stakeholders. The Association des plaisanciers du port de Lachine and the citizen collective #réclametarive had also participated to the event.

The program has included discussion workshops on the theme of development and programming, in a formula of exchange and dialogue in small, animated groups.

The contribution of these participants will enrich the ideas formulated by citizens during the other stages of the citizen participation process, including the online survey, the suggestion box and the interactive map until July 31, available on the makingmtl.ca/lachinewaterfrontpark
